Genevieve began her theatrical career at the age of 3, following in the footsteps of her family. Over the years, she has studied such varied disciplines as dance (everything from the Argentine tango to trapeze dance, to hip-hop and ballet), Edith Skinner vocal technique, viewpoints, directing, classical and musical theater singing, script/song writing, cabaret composition, technical design for set, costume, sound & lighting, Shakespeare, Commedia Del l'arte, stage combat, Alexander, Meisner, and Feldenkrais Techniques, among others. She has studied at such institutes as Cornish College of the Arts and Perry-Mansfield School & Camp and worked with such notables as Burgess Clarke, Daniel Blake, Andrea Burns, Peter Flynn, and Stephen Schwartz. In 2002 Genevieve won the San Francisco NESU Shakespeare Competition and went on to compete as a national semi-finalist at Lincoln Center. She currently resides in Portland, OR working as a professional actress and busily starting her own company: POET (Dance. Theatre.) Most recently, she appeared in the Hobbit for Northwest Children's Theater & School. Favorite roles include Hermione (The Winter's Tale), Elizabeth Proctor (The Crucible), Princess Winnifred (Once Upon a Mattress), Sgt. Reggie Flutey (the Laramie Project), and Charlotte Bedford (Midwives for the Perry-Mansfield New Noises project).
